Blue Body is an extension of a practice focused on deepening interconnectivity between ourselves and the environment around us. Using mindfulness training and meditative experiences, this voice / video work sits between guided meditation and spoken word performance. Blue Body is a shorter version of a longer work, Contemplating Blue.

Daily Meditation Fragments is made up of fragments of Sarah’s daily meditation journal, written when undergoing mindfulness teacher training, meditating for twenty minutes each day, for a period of eight weeks. The subtleties of shift in experience each day were extremely noticeable, surprising, and uplifting.

Sarah hosts peripatetic podcast ‘hereness’ examining creative practices for connecting body, place & space through discussions with artists. Sarah writes,

hereness is a state of consciousness
attained by focusing on being here :
in a body, in a place and in space

hereness enhances one’s:
awareness of being,
sense of wellbeing,
relationships with others &
bond with this earth

hereness can be realised
through activities such as:
following the breath,
feeling your body &
observing the place
and space around you

hereness is also cultivated through
many creative practices
